1. The decision to fish is solely the captain’s choice. All anglers fish at their own discretion and risk. If the tournament committee determines it is unsafe to fish, all prizes will still be presented by randomly selecting boat names at the awards party. Under such circumstances you must be present to win. No refunds or rain checks will be given.
2. All fish must be caught on rod & reel (no electric reels). Kites, wire lines, downriggers, & planers are allowed. Live bait, dead bait, and artificial baits are permitted. There are no restrictions on line test.
3. The eastern fishing boundary is 25 nautical miles off the Florida coast. Fishing in the Bahamas is prohibited.
4. All state and federal recreational fishing rules regarding weight, size, and bag limits must be observed. State fishing license is required by law. Only legal sized fish will be weighed, no billfish will be weighed.
5. No limits to number of lines a boat may fish.
6. Prizes are awarded to heaviest fish in each category, not accumulated weight. In the billfish release category, the winner is determined by the most releases during the tournament fishing times. Billfish caught on live and dead bait are scored the same.
7. Each boat is allowed to weigh one (1) fish per category.
8. All prizes will be awarded to the person or entity that paid the entry fee from the winning boat, unless that said person, signs a release designating another individual or entity to receive the cash or prize.
9. This is an all-lady angler tournament. Male captains and mates are permitted. All fish weighed must be caught by a registered lady angler observing I.G.F.A. rules.
10. The official tournament start will be a Bimini start outside of Jupiter Inlet. A holding area will be designated on the north side of the inlet. Participation in the Bimini start is at the sole discretion of each tournament participating boat. All boats must remain inside of the tournament Bimini start boat until the start of the tournament at 8am.
11. Tournament scales open at 1:00pm. No mutilated fish will be weighed. Anglers entering fish must return to the tournament scales from the boat they fished from by 4:30pm and must be weighed in the presence of the weigh master and angler or captain, and recorded on an official weigh-in form. No fish or anglers can be transferred between boats. It is important to keep your fish adequately iced. All entered fish must be able to pass a Torrey Meter and Organoleptic test. Billfish releases must be recorded on the provided release form, including time of release, to be scored. Every release must be photographed on the provided camera to be scored. The camera and release form, signed by the captain, must be turned in to the weigh master during the times the scales are open.
12. In the event of a tie the first fish weighed will win the award and the other fish will become eligible for the next lowest category if applicable. In the case of a tie in the billfish release category, the boat accumulating the most points first will be the winner.
13. Recipients of prizes valued over $600.00 must provide their social security number and may be subject to a polygraph test.
